Your data

Privacy policy

At islas24 we collect the minimum data needed to provide our services. This page explains what data we process, on what legal basis, and what rights you have.

What data we process

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address, your chosen language, and your topic and island preferences. Nothing else. We do not ask for your name, phone number or any other data.

Comments. Comments are anonymous: we require no registration and collect no personal data to comment.

Browsing. We use no tracking cookies and no analytics tools that profile visitors. Any cookies we use are strictly functional.

Legal basis

Processing your email for the newsletter is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give explicitly when you subscribe via double opt-in. We store the version of the consent text you accepted, without recording your IP address.

Where your data is hosted

Our database and email-sending provider are hosted on servers within the European Union. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.

Sharing and selling data

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties. We use an email-delivery provider (a data processor) solely to deliver the newsletter to you; it does not share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

At any time you can:

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter with a single click, using the link included in every email.
  • Request access to the data we hold about you, its rectification, or its complete erasure.

To exercise these rights, contact us via our Telegram channel or the contact details in the footer. We will handle your request without undue delay.

Saving checklist progress

Our procedure-checklist tool (for example, the digital nomad visa one) lets you save your progress so you can resume it from any device. If you use this feature, we store your email address, the profile you selected in the wizard (route, work situation, family) and which documents you have checked. This save is independent from the newsletter: it has its own consent and does not subscribe you to anything.

We send you an email with a link to resume your checklist and another to delete what you saved in one click. You can erase your saved data at any time from that link, without contacting us.

Retention

We keep your email for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your address is marked as unsubscribed and stops receiving emails; you can request its permanent deletion at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date below and, for substantial changes, announce it in the newsletter.
