Isla Bonita Love Festival marks tenth anniversary with Isabel Pantoja, Laura Pausini and Nathy Peluso

The Isla Bonita Love Festival marks its tenth anniversary this year with an edition bringing Isabel Pantoja, Laura Pausini and Nathy Peluso to La Palma. According to a press release from the Cabildo de La Palma, the Puerto de Tazacorte will host two concerts, on 12 and 19 September, in a programme built around music, diversity and inclusion.

The organisers are billing this edition as "the most special anniversary in the festival's history", spanning two weekends, three international artists and a decade of championing diversity.

Tickets went on sale at 17.00 on Thursday 30 July, available both as a double pass covering both dates and as individual tickets through the official platform tomaticket. According to information reported by La Revista de La Palma and El Time, tickets for the Isabel Pantoja concert on 12 September went on sale that same day, while for the 19 September date an exclusive pre-sale was opened first for Laura Pausini's official fan club, with general sales beginning on Saturday.

First date: 12 September with Isabel Pantoja

The first headline event arrives on 12 September, when Isabel Pantoja will perform at the Puerto de Tazacorte in what is billed as her only concert in Spain as part of the tour marking her 50 years as an artist. The organisers describe it as an exclusive performance and "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" to see the artist in La Palma, positioning her as an icon for multiple generations and as someone with particularly strong ties to the LGTBI+ community. In 2022 she received the Mister Gay España award at the Madrid Pride celebrations.

Second date: 19 September with Laura Pausini and Nathy Peluso

The anniversary continues on 19 September with a second evening headlined by Laura Pausini and Nathy Peluso. According to information released by the festival and reported by TV La Palma and El Time, Laura Pausini will be the star act of this edition, delivering a two-hour concert, while Nathy Peluso will open the evening earlier in the day.

The festival notes that Pausini's career spans more than 80 million records sold, 160 platinum discs and performances on some of the world's most prestigious stages. According to information published by TV La Palma, the artist has received a Grammy Award, a Latin Grammy and a Golden Globe, and has received an Academy Award nomination. She recently took part in the closing ceremony of the World Cup final held in New York, sharing the stage with Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger.

On her participation, Pausini was quoted by those sources as saying: "For more than 30 years I have never managed to understand why differences between human beings exist. We were born free to be who we are and who we want to be. I have always sung about that, and it will be an honour for me to close the Isla Bonita Love Festival with my music."

Joining her will be Nathy Peluso, who arrives at the festival with her "Grasa Tour DJ Set" — a format combining electronic music and urban sounds in a set designed for the dance floor. According to the organisers, after touring some of the leading venues across the Americas and Europe, this show will be presented in La Palma for the first time.

A decade of music and a social agenda

The Isla Bonita Love Festival was founded in 2016 to make music and culture a space for celebrating respect, freedom and affective and sexual diversity. A decade on, according to the Cabildo, the event has established itself as one of the Canary Islands' major cultural fixtures.

In the period between the two concerts on 12 and 19 September, the festival will roll out a social programme featuring debates, talks, forums and discussions focused on the current challenges facing the LGTBIQ+ community, family diversity and equality.
